Raisoni Group of Institutions (RGI) has a glorious history of near about 2 decades of existence in the education sector that was started in 1998 by acquiring a single engineering college in Nagpur, which has grown into one of the leading educational groups with 19 institutes across Central India including 2 state private universities.
Since the establishment of its first institution in 1998 Raisoni Group of Institution has grown as central India’s leading education network with its presence in 5 major cities in Maharashtra and 1 in Madhya Pradesh State, India namely Nagpur, Pune, Jalgaon, Ahmednagar and Private University in Amravati Maharashtra and rural area in Chindwara district in Madhya Pradesh (MP) State, India.
Educational institutes under the Raisoni banner are not only running successfully in Nagpur but across Maharashtra at places like Pune, Ahmednagar, Amravati, and Jalgaon. The purpose of establishing theses institutes is to contribute to national development providing young aspirants of this country better access to education.
They offer programmes in engineering, management, law, sciences, agriculture, pharmacy et al. All these institutes are accredited by NAAC/NBA. One of their engineering colleges has found a place in the Top 100 of NIRF ranking. They have been expanding the Group successfully and have reached Saikheda, Chhindwara district in Madhya Pradesh and Amravati. The journey is still on and they are confident about scaling more heights. They have excellent infrastructure at their institutes and universities including connectivity and human resource.
To thrive in the workplace of the future, skills such as creativity, collaboration, communication and problem-solving will become must-have competencies for future specialists as the market will see a huge increase in jobs requiring a mentioned set of skills. “We, at our Group, work on such skills for the students and try to engage students in it. Workshops like emotional intelligence, practical learning, advanced employability enhancement programs, sports-based learning, expert sessions, industry student interactions and many more are organised for students,” he says.
Research and innovation go hand-in-hand. Some of the most amazing discoveries, inventions and innovations have been a part of the research and development pursued by the students during their educational endeavors. Research is the foundation stone for a promising tomorrow. It is the power which aids in transfiguring ideas into concepts, making sure to give birth to new theories and enhancing the strength called knowledge.
Considering the need for enhancing professional development of educators, the Group introduced a unique programme. “It is said that if you are not ready to receive, you will never be able to give it to other and vice-versa. To give it to the ultimate stakeholders, our teachers must be ready. Here, change-adopting and technology-driven programmes are implemented to make our people ready for imparting it to students.”
The Group is always aware of change. This change is not only about the technology but also about the change in the capacity of the staff. Raisoni Group is a representative body of active professionals and elected student leaders representing college and university sport through its various member institutes.
“We try to equip our students with indoor and outdoor games. To promote health, we have Green Gyms in our campuses. Our Group facilitates interaction between member institutions, sharing of best practise and supports the development of sport in three key areas; recreation, participation and performance. Association with various elite sports associations for the sports events in Central India not only give a platform to our students but for the society too. In the implementation of various plans, the Group will continue to engage with its various partners to share best practise models for development of sport and recreation. We are consistent in research and development,” says Sunil.
He believes that an innovative approach at every step towards success sets the Group apart. “We chose to provide practical-oriented education combined with a strong academic focus, developed specifically to meet industry needs,” he says.
Since the start of the journey, their motto has been ‘The vision beyond’. And it is for the students to comprehend the motto in accordance with their perception. They can associate with it in order to accomplish the goals which are far away from their sight or as a vision beyond dreams, enabling them to work with diligence, going for the sky! It could even be viewed as the vision beyond excellence, nurturing in them the power of knowledge.
The main purpose of this Mega event of NSP is to provide and share a common platform to the young leaders who are dynamic and vibrant so that they can rise above the present system and strive for bringing a change for betterment of the country. Every year, the event is organised in the month of January for two days. These two days are divided in five sessions (Inaugural plus four Sessions), eminent speakers from the field of their specialization share their views with the students. This provides students a live experience of interacting with people who are dealing with society. Also students come to know about various aspects and perspectives to the different topics of concern in society.
